He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Herdahl and Isla Herdahl (Scheel); his great grandchild Walker Galanti; his sister-in-law Crystal Taber; Leo and Lucinda Wittenburg.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Herdahl of Cedar Falls; his children, Terrence Herdahl (Jane) of Terre Haute, IN and Tawnie Lavallee (Mark) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Alexis Galanti (Karthar), Hunter Lavallee, Talen Lavallee and Deidre Herdahl; his great grandchildren, Cortlyn and Palmer Galanti; and his siblings, Richard Herdahl (Karen) of Castle Rock, CO and Cheryl Anderson (James) of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by two nieces; and two nephews.
