He was predeceased by : his parents, Holland Mead and Gladys Thrall (Robinson); his former life partner Betty Coey (Coey); his brothers, Charles and Meade; his former life partner Beverly J. (Nemmers); his stepchildren, Michael Nemmers and Deborah Valenta (Nemmers); his son-in-law Bryan O'Leary; and his stepson-in-law Al Smith.
He is survived by : his wife Kay E. (DeSilva); his children, Michael Thrall (Carrie) of Des Moines, IA, Terese Nordaker (Randy) of Des Moines, IA and Kristen O'Leary of Katy, TX; his stepchildren, Victoria Smith, James Nemmers (Bonnie) and Stephen Nemmers; his stepdaughter-in-law Anita Nemmers; his sister Roxana Grim; and also, Eric McCall (Lisa) and Aaron Lubbert. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
