She was predeceased by: her great-grandparent Claude Pierce. She is survived by: her parents, Nicholas Shanahan and Lacie Alger of Cedar Rapids; her grandparents, Cindy Ray of Cedar Rapids, Steve Alger of Lisbon, Cathy and Chuck Smith of Cedar Rapids; her great-grandparent Mary Lou Pierce of Cedar Rapids; and her aunts and uncles, Candice Klepp, Dakota Ray, Lindsey Utley, Cassandra Kessler, Stacey Shanahan, Tracey Shanahan, Emily Shanahan, Ashley and Canyon Thixton. She is also survived by numerous other cousins and friends.
A memorial fund has been established in Abby's name and may be directed to the Quaker Credit Union in Cedar Rapids.
