He is survived by: his children, James Gieseman (Beverly) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kristine White (Mike) of Bernard, IA, Richard Gieseman of Cedar Rapids, IA and Laura Donner (Robert) of Dubuque, IA; his grandchildren, Joseph, Molly, Grace, Nathan, Emily, Olivia, Isabella, Benjamin and Mason; and his former spouse Sharyn Gieseman of Dubuque. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
