We announce the death of Althena Teel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on October 24, 2026, at the age of 67. Althena will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Teel and Dorothy Teel (Lanham); her siblings, Mary Ash, Barbara Carey and Dana Teel; and her grandson Timmy.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeremy "Scoot" Hartman (Jessie) and Timothy Teel (Hillary); her siblings, George Teel (Sandy) and Karen Wilburn; and her grandchildren, Taylin, Dakota T., Dakota H., Shaylyn, Aubri, Otis and Isabella. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services (1844 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A burial was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
