She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Svoboda and Ruth Svoboda; and her husband Charles "Chuck" Shafer. She is survived by: her brother Rick Svoboda (Linda) of Denton, Texas; her children, Scott Shafer (Pam) of Cedar Rapids, Michael Shafer (Terri) of Clarkesville, Georgia and Debra Rogers (Doug) of Charles City, Iowa.; and her grandchildren, David Shafer (Barry Randall), Dr. Tamara Woods (Alex), Leslie Johnson (Mark), Britney Baer (Josh), Katie Jensen (Brad) and Nick Rogers. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
