We announce the death of Carol Jean Boggs of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on October 25, 2026, at the age of 71. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Pierce and Elaine Pierce (Hein); and her pets, Neeneets, Felix and Ozzie.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Boggs; her son Ryan Schneider; her stepchildren, Amy Slye (Tom) and Aaron Boggs; her grandchildren, Max Huffracker-Schneider, Abby Slye, Tyler Slye, Aniyah Slye, Dominic Boggs and Christian Boggs; her brother James L. Pierce; and her pets, Eli and Emil.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3855 Katz Dr, Marion, IA 52302). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
