It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol J. Schillig of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on August 19, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Pape and Hulda Pape (Peters); and her siblings, Emelyn Lenth, Marjorie Markey, Dorothy Radloff and Bud Pape.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Schillig; her children, Barbra Kurtz, Julie Raymond (Gary) and David Schillig (Charlotte); her grandchildren, Carolyn Gordon (David), Elizabeth Isbel (Theodore), Tyler Raymond, Haley Brundell (Andrew) and Willow Schillig; and her great grandchildren, Noah, Isla, Lucy and Wells Gordon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
