We announce the death of Carole Sue Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 74. Carole will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Carole will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Carole’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur "Pete" Selk and Eleanor Selk (Bevins); and her brother Darwin Selk. She is survived by: her husband Rick Anderson of Cedar Rapids; her children, Doug Hammill (Erin Hale) of Solon and Julie Mueller of Amana; her grandchildren, Charlie Hammill, Gretchen Hammill, Emma Mueller and Maddux Mueller; and her sister Shirley Readnour of The Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home (201 Pedersen St, West Branch, IA 52358). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
