Carolee A. Bruner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolee A. Bruner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on May 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dietiker and Bernice Dietiker (Koppes); her husband Robert L. Bruner; her stepdaughter Janet Davidson; her daughter-in-law Lorrie Bruner; her grandson Randy Mackey, Sr.; her great grandchild Eli Vavra; her great great grandchild Isaac Harris; and her brother-in-law Leslie Lyness.
She is survived by: her sister Elizabeth "Beth" Lyness; her children, Zach of Ryan, Iowa and Amy of Ryan, Iowa; and her stepchildren, Roger Bruner (Clara), Gary Bruner, Ronald Bruner (Judy), Russ Bruner (Deb), Barb Bruner, Brian Bruner and Kris Bruner. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (857 3rd Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at the Calendar Linwood Cemetery (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
Memorials may be directed to the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa, or to a charity of the donor's choice, in loving memory of Carolee.
