Charles Gardner Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Charles Gardner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Charles, born on March 11, 1931, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clay and Mary Gardner (Hawes); his wife Mary Ward; and his in-laws, Louise and Russell Ward.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anne Jones (Terry) of Cedar Rapids and Ginny Kremer of St. Paul, MN; his grandchildren, Jillian Swain (Casey), Catherine Jones, Nathan Kremer (Jessica) and Hannah Kremer (Otto); and his caregiver Meth-Wick. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given to Camp Courageous, Matthew 25, University of Illinois Foundation, or The Meth-Wick Community.
