It is with sadness that the passing of Charles Horn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa is shared. Charles, born on October 8, 1935, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Horn and Edna Horn; his grandchild Korey Amber; and his wife Cecilia Cavanuagh. He is survived by: his children, Susan Erenberger (Dave), Michael Horn, Brian Horn (Lynn), Julie Cavanaugh-Bill (Chet), Debbie Lawrence (Brian), Amy Penley (Dan) and Lisa Neidt (Tod); and his grandchildren, Julie Marie, Kristofer, Charli, Jacob, Mariah, Jason, Casey, Josephine, Scarlett, Caleb, Bryce and Lincoln. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1790 14th St, Marion, IA 52302).
