He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Volesky; and his father-in-law Vance McKinnon Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Blanche Volesky (Novak) of Cedar Rapids; his wife Debora "Deb" McKinnon; his children, Jill Dobler (Joe) of Cedar Rapids, Laura Begle (Jason) of Delhi, Elizabeth Nielsen (Ryne) of Cedar Rapids and Nick Volesky of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Hannah, Nathan, Olivia, Makayla, Sophie, Chloe and Grace; his siblings, Vernon of Norway, Ray (Paula) of Guthrie Center, Ronnie (Mary) of Zephyrhills, FL and Jane Walter (Duane) of Swisher, IA; and his mother-in-law Dalene McKinnon of Cedar Rapids.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery Funeral Home.
