He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddie Appleby and Luella Appleby (Boots); his son Jonny; his granddaughter Corinna; and his siblings, Bernice, Bonnie, Bernadean, Lois, Merajo, Freddie Ray, Larry, Allen and Tim.
He is survived by: his significant other Rosemary (Breuer); his daughters, Angela Heck (Winston), Amy Appleby-Romelfanger (Matt) and Ann Sanford (Dwain); his grandchildren, Ken, Taylor, Ben, Brianna, Sydney, Bailey and Hope; his great grandchildren, Norah and Ruby; his siblings, Paul Appleby (Roxy), Tom Appleby (JoAnn) and Mary Kaplan (Duane); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Appleby and Judy Lanphier.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cedar Memorial (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
Memorial contributions may be left to his family to distribute to causes that were near and dear to his heart.
