He is survived by: his husband David; his siblings, Siri Dickinson (Gordon) of North Dakota and Kameron Cole (Ligia) of Waltham, Massachusetts; his nephews, Seth Dostart of Seattle and Jack Cole of Iowa City, Iowa; his niece Kalia Cole of Waltham, Massachusetts; his aunt Irma Jordan of Winterset, Iowa; and his cousins, Lewis and Grant.

A reception will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (1221 1st Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests memorial contributions to the Hospice of Mercy Fund or the Greater Cedar Rapids Foundation.
