She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Novak and Martha Novak (Chalupsky); her husband Leon Suchomel; and her great grandchild Kaleb Walters. She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Schlitter (Kim); her grandchildren, Kelly Coselman (Brian) and Jeff Walters (Tanya); her great grandchildren, Leah Walters, Gage Walters, Bayla Walters and Caitlyn Coselman; and her brothers, Wayne Novak (Diana) and Leonard Novak. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the VFW Post 788 (3240 Southgate Pl SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
