He was predeceased by: his brother Meredith Ward; and his parents, Roscoe Ward and Delight Yarcho Ward. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; and his children, Richard Lueders of Cedar Rapids, Jon Ward (Diana) of Elberon, Julie Ryan of Ankeny, Marcie Sawyer of Missouri, Tracy Montgomery of Belle Plaine and James Ward (Laurie) of Texas. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
