He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Tesdahl and Lorraine Tesdahl (Asbe); and his stepbrother Bill Kirwan, Jr. (Larry Johns). He is survived by: his wife Susan "Sue" Tesdahl of Cedar Rapids; his daughters, Shannon DelBorrello (David) of Ashburn, Virigina and Mandy Tesdahl of Queen Creek, Arizona; his grandsons, Jonathan and Christopher DelBorrello; his brother Paul Tesdahl (Kristy) of Deerwood, Minnesota; his nephews, Neil Tesdahl (Sue) of Chanhassen and Bradley Tesdahl (Jennifer) of Elk River, Minnesota; his in-law Steve Shank (Judy) of Sarasota, Florida; his nieces, Susan Shank of Wayzata and Mary Retzlaff (Todd) of Norristown, Pennsylvania; his nephew Carl Shank (Lisa) of Iowa City; and his stepsister Celeste Johns of St. Paul, Minnesota..
