It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Thompson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leonard Thompson and Dorothy Thompson (Schmidt); and his sister Jan. He is survived by: his sister Barb Van Slyke (Neil); his nieces, Amy Richardson (Andy), Julie Larsen (Kevin) and Tricia Higson; his great-nieces, Ava Richardson, Violet Richardson, Isabelle Larsen, Avrey Larsen, Kayla Waite (John) and Rochelle Hattaway (Sam); and his great-nephew Isaiah Richardson.
