He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Beer and Kathryn Beer; and his grandson Christian Beer. He is survived by: his wife Gale Beer of Cedar Rapids, IA; his children, Mike Beer (Karen), Amy Cassabaum (Brett) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Andy Beer (Tiffany) of Omaha, NE and Missy Dennis (Brad) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Ryan Beer (Kelsey), Alyssa Smith (Dave), Megan Beckert (Mitch), Sara Pollock (Trevor), Courtney Gammel (Phil), Nicole Beer, Matthew Cassabaum, Tyler Dennis and Elizabeth Dennis (Josh White); his sister Bonnie Seyranian; and his brother-in-law Dick Chandler (Joan). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
