He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Jay and Grace Nellie Pattison (Farrington); his siblings, Richard and Betty; and his son-in-law Andy McKinstry.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Eric of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jenny McKinstry of Cedar Rapids; and his close friend Jim McGowan. He is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews.
