Dennis Clayton Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2025, at the age of 83, Dennis Clayton Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Clayton and Gloria Ann Smith (Eby); and his daughter Donna May Smith (Lolen Merton Bobst). He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Smith of Cedar Rapids; his daughters, Dawn McCalley (Gary) of Swisher, Denise Langhoff (Bradley) of Marion and Deanna Hardt (Michael) of Elgin, Illinois; his grandchildren, Courtney Gordon (Nicholas), Colleen Vonderhaar (Joseph), Callie Stulz-O'Brien (Kolt), Melissa Gaylord (Paul), Mitchell Koepping (Mayra), Braden Langhoff, Ashley Hardt and Andrew Hardt (Jazmin); and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas Jr., Kaydin, Kai, Peter, Lucy, Annie, Jaxson, Braxton and Sylvie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
