He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph S. Jennings and Lauda Jennings; his stepfather William L. Cone; and his stepsisters, Helen Zerwas, Betty Henderson, Beverly Palmer and Catherine Muchow.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jennings of Cedar Rapids; his sons, Steven Jennings (Kelley) of Colorado and David Jennings (Kim) of Iowa; his brothers, Lee N. Jennings (Gladys) of Washington and Ronald C. Jennings (Marilyn) of Idaho; and his grandchildren, Angela Toma (Claudio), Eric Jennings, Zoë Jennings, Quinn Jennings, Michelle Katt (Austin) and Ryan Jennings (Heather). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Dick's family requests donations to First Presbyterian Church in Marion, or to the Meth-Wick Community of Cedar Rapids.
