He was predeceased by: his son Michael Valenta; his siblings, Robert Valenta, Richard Valenta and Susan Howard; and his parents, Fred Valenta and Stella Podhajsky Valenta.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Crist; his children, Jean Lillis (Edward) of Cedar Rapids and Lee Valenta (Margaret) of Sarasota, FL; and his sister Carolyn Gerleman of Tucson, AZ.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
The family has requested those in attendance to please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a charity of their choice.
