We bid farewell to Donald Fredrickson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 22, 2025 at the age of 89. Donald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Millie; his siblings-in-law, Myrtis, Gene, Burnett, Everett and Leland; and his parents, Noble Fredrickson and Mildred Fredrickson.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff (Nicole) of East Bethel and Tom (Jenny) of Marion, Iowa; his grandchildren, Marly of Marion Iowa, Carter (Anna) of Solon, Alec (Rhiana) of Charleston, Kristina (Armando) of Champlin, Ryan (Brandie) of Mankato and Megan (Dale) of Clarksville, Tennessee; his brother Paul (Donna); and his sisters-in-law, Betty Nordine, Pam Nordine and Sandy Nordine. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (1221 1st Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
Don was a generous and compassionate supporter of numerous charitable organizations, with his favorites being the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Don's name to one of these organizations, or to a charity meaningful to you.
