He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his siblings, Kathleen Murphy, Lois Rayman of Cedar Rapids and John Murphy of Keokuk; and his stepchildren, Vanessa Smith, Jake Smith, Stephanie Volk (Nick), Emily Prahm (Mark), Theresa Mackey (Matt) and Marjorie Barrett (Rashid). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
