Elie left this world on October 17, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kareme Elossais and Jerjes Elossais; his siblings, Salwa Bunch, Suade Elossais and Mikhael Elossais; his brothers-in-law, Michael Kacere and Richard Laham; and his nephew Ricky Laham.
He is survived by: his wife Afifi Elossais; his children, Sonia, George (Maria) and Miriam; his sisters, Ensaf Kacere and Sonia Laham; his in-laws, Debby Elossais and David Bunch; and his granddaughters, Sophia and Mila Elossais. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. George Orthodox Church (3650 Cottage Grove Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to St. George Church in Cedar Rapids, or St. Thomas Church in Ain Arab, Lebanon.
