He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Hicks and Hattie Hicks (Wiley); and his sister Mary Schultz. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hicks; his children, Lisa Hicks Pershing (Jennifer), James Hicks (Aleta), Jared Hicks (Chris) and Jason Hicks (Janelle); his grandchildren, Laura Brady (Megan), Michael Kelsey (Josh), Nicole Kelsey, Justin Hicks (Jessie), Travis Hicks (Caitlin), Kyle Hicks (Holly Schneider) and Allison Hicks; and his brother Oscar Hicks (Charlotte). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
