It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Brown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Brown and Louise Brown (Priest); his wife Joanne Brown (Happ); and his siblings, Pat Johnson, Bob Brown and Larry Brown.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard (Jillian) of Las Vegas, NV, Joseph (Deborah) of Winter Garden, FL, Michael (Gina) of Robins, IA, Timothy (Kristen) of Wichita, KS and Raymond (Lori) of Ely, IA.; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Lauren, Brandon, Charlene, Darleese, Jaime, Jodi, Janele, Sarah, Zachary, Benjamin, Beverly, Kayla, Mathews, Alexander, Olivia, Ethan and Natalie; and his brother Tom Brown (Phyllis). He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel (1221 1st Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (720 29th St SE #2, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403).
