He is survived by: his wife Linda Smejkal of Cedar Rapids; his children, Brenda Lane (Rus Williams) of Quasqueton, Kevin Smejkal (Marcia) of Cedar Rapids and Kelly Smejkal (Brooke) of Ankeny, Iowa; his grandchildren, Christopher Lane (Jordan), Tim Lane (Syndi), Madison Liebbert (Jason), Cole Smejkal (Alicia) and Brylee Smejkal; his great grandchildren, Mya, Ava, Aspen Lane, Isla, Charlotte "Charlie" Lane, Weston, Riggs and Elsie Smejkal; and his brothers, Lenard Jr. Smejkal (Carol) of Cedar Rapids and Alan Smejkal (Sybil Merfeld) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
