George Anthony Miller Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Anthony Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 18, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Anthony Miller to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary McNally; his brothers, Jim Miller and Tom Miller; and his parents, Anthony Miller and Florence Olmstead Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Miller (Laura Runkle) of Cedar Rapids, Catherine Foster (Davis) of Iowa City, Mary Ann Miller (Brian McKnight) of Iowa City and James Miller (Virginia) of Pasadena, CA; his grandchildren, Adam, Alex, Sam, Libby and Christopher Tomás; his great grandchildren, John, William, Nico and Hazel; and his sister Margaret Ann Gruca (Len) of Sydney, Australia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Teahen Funeral Home (3100 F Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405). Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (4949 Council St NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. John's Cemetery (1340 17th St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Pius X Parish or Meth-Wick Community in George's name.
