He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Laurie Hittenmiller (Bill), Brian Shapcott (Mary Beth) and Julie Freese (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Dustin Hittenmiller (Erin Althoff), Kelcy Johnson, Andrew Hittenmiller, Tristan Freese (Moriah Johnson) and Griffin Freese (Miki Kringstad); his great grandchildren, Katelyn Johnson and Willa Althoff; his friend Sue Gough; his wife Pauline Kessler; his parents, Irving Shapcott and Maxine Shapcott (Hatfield); Barbara Slaughter (Roger) and Sharon Scott (Allen). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
