He was predeceased by: his parents, Sofia Barbulescu and Constantin Barbulescu. He is survived by: his wife Mihaela Barbulescu; his daughters, Roxanna Ioana Barbulescu and Octavia Maria Barbulescu; and his cousins, Ruxandra Ciofu, Tatiana Surugiu (Ion) and Monica Jitea (Octav).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at the Linwood Cemetery (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
