He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Maish and Marguerite Maish (Grimm); his son Gregory Maish; his former wife Georgina Maish; his wife JoAnn Maish; and his sister Jean Fischer.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Maish Sr. (Sharon) and Jim Maish Sr. (Sheleen); and his grandchildren, Christina Olson, Jeremy Maish (Brooke), Josh Maish, Jeff Maish II (Soukaina), Lysh Holley and Lacey Culver (Spencer).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a fund to be established in James' honor.
