James left this world on October 3, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sr. Hunt and Reida Hunt (Petty); and his brother William Hunt. He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Hunt (Tina Ender), Brad Hunt, Andy Hunt (Meredith) and Elizabeth Leversee (Jared); his grandchildren, Hannah, Alex, Logan, Titan, Jax, Louie and Isaac; and his siblings, Harold Hunt Jr., Michael Hunt, April Long, Kevin Hunt, Jeffrey Hunt and Rebecca Erlacher.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christian Life Church (2808 Schaeffer Dr SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
