He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. and Mary J Barnes (Kaprich); and his brother Edward Barnes (Virginia). He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Barnes of Cedar Rapids and Julie Lambert (Reese) of Phoenix, AZ; and his grandchildren, Jessica Johnson (Brian) of Marion, IA, Chelsea Barnes of Cedar Rapids, IA, Spencer Barnes of Seattle, WA, Hunter Lambert (Kristin) of Manhattan Beach, CA, Hudson Lambert of Dallas, TX and Hagan Lambert of Phoenix, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers and cards, memorials in his name are to be directed to Dogs Forever or The Fellowship Club in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
