With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Payton of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Tracy, Iowa, who passed away on November 15, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Payton and Mabel Payton (Mayne); and his sisters, Barbara Sparks and Jean Zehr. He is survived by: his children, Linda Thorn (Craig), Janis Payton (Steve Fish) and Jim Payton of Cedar Rapids; and his grandsons, Brian Thorn of Manchester and Mark Thorn of Marion. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
