It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Randolph Kane of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on September 7, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Kane and Sarah Kane (McCarty); his former wife Shirley Maloney McEowen; his wife Helene McDermott; his siblings, Patrick, Eugene, John, Jane Kane, Mary Bousselot and Kathleen Campbell; his son-in-law Thomas Ketelsen; and his grandson Adam Kane.
He is survived by: his children, Terrence Kane of Phoenix, Ann Ketelsen of Cedar Rapids, Mary Betsill (David) of Palm Coast, Jean Graff (Joseph) of Denver and Michael Kane (Shauna) of Cedar Rapids; and his sister Margaret Cejka of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
