He was predeceased by: his parents, John Berndsen and Jennie Berndsen (Duncan); and his brother-in-law Carl Swenson. He is survived by: his daughter Tiffany Bauer of Cedar Rapids; his granddaughter Laura Bauer of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings, Cathy Swenson of Cedar Rapids, Carol Berndsen of Centerville, OH and Thomas Berndsen (Dayna) of Cedar Rapids.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Jim's name.
