James Theiss Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of James Theiss of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. James, born on November 29, 1929, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Theiss and Mary Theiss (Phelan). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Helene Meissner; and his sons, Bradley Irvin Theiss and Vincent James Theiss.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
