It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Nicol in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dan F. Nicol; her brother Larry Erb; and her parents, Evelyn Erb and Charles Erb. She is survived by: her brother David Erb (Marilyn) of Denver, Colorado; her sister-in-law Marsha Erb (late Larry Erb) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her nieces, Kristin Nicol (Don Andrews) of Minneapolis and Danielle Bartlett (Gray Bartlett) of Memphis, Tennessee; and her friend John Albers of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Alzheimer's Association.
