With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Holten of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on October 26, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Thorson and Thelma Thorson (Folkedahl); her husband Howard Holten; her children, Tony Holten, Julie Holten and Shane Holten; her grandson Levi Holten; her sister Evelyn Bigler; and her brothers-in-law, Roger Bigler and Richard Blaess.
She is survived by: her children, Jaye Albaugh, Nikki Dvorsky (Vince), Lane Holten (Tonya) and Jeff Holten (Lisa); and her siblings, Nathan Thorson (Sandy), Phyllis Blaess, Arthur Thorson (Linda), Katherine Thorson, Elton Thorson (Vicki) and Sheryl McConnell (Steve). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
