She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Fiet and Dorothy Fiet (Siekmeier); and her sister Barbara Shaffer. She is survived by: her husband Marvin Smith of Cedar Rapids, IA; her son Joshua Smith (Michelle) of Cedar Rapids, IA; her grandsons, Brogan and Kelsen Smith; and her siblings, Lorrayne Rudish of Marion, IA, Marie Johnston of Cedar Rapids, IA and David Fiet of Rockford, IL..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (1221 1st Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the 1st Congregational Church of Christ (361 17th St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403).
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to 1st Congregational Church of Christ.
