It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeff Newman in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2022, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elnora Newman Clark and Joe Clark; and his siblings, Joe Nathan Newman and Joyce Ann Newman. He is survived by: his close friend Kathryn A. Smith; his children, Davonte, Javonte, Marcina, Shawn Newman, Donte and Elijah Taylor; his grandchildren, Jay'ceon Newman, Zoe Taylor, Ennaya Taylor and Elijah Taylor, Jr.; his siblings, Staley, Doris, Demetris, Don, Elnora, Shante Newman, John and Teresa Gordon; his aunt Mary; and his uncle Harold Baggett. He is also survived by children; and a host of uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends.
