He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Railsback and Daisy Railsback (Moubry); his sister Norma J. Elson Railsback (Judith K. (Colbert)); his son James C. Railsback; and his granddaughter Ella E. Timm.

He is survived by: his sister Carol Kaut; his children, John Railsback (Shelly), Rita Duby, Kimberly Lovely (Michael), Joseph Railsback (Anne) and Janet Timm (Steve Emig); his grandchildren, Ben Railsback (Hannah), Morgan Klopping (Logan), Tiffany, Sara Schneider, Miles Moa (Kimy Southard), Janel King (Kody), Aiden Beck, Quinton Lovely, Kylie Railsback and Chloe Anderson; and his great grandchildren, Daisy Railsback, Lucas, Hunter Klopping, Bellamy, Rudy and Eldon King.

A memorial fund has been established.
