He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Phillips and Ila Phillips (Edgeington); his former wife Marie Phillips (Shrope); his wife Phyllis Phillips (Means); and his siblings, Clarence and Darlene.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Anne Phillips; his son Jeff Phillips (Bonnie); his stepchildren, Ken Kollsmith (Kay), Rick Kollsmith (Kathy), Jean Johnson (Mike) and Bob Kollsmith (Jodie); and his grandson Sean Phillips.
