With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan E. Williams of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Matters and Imogene Matters (York); her husband Robert Williams; her son Pat Williams; and her sister Judy Elwick.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Williams of Brandon, Vicki Grindle (Mark) of Surprise and Tina Busness of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Robert, Arleen, Chris, Steve, Rob, Kevin, Nicole and Amber; and her brother Duane Matters of Massachusetts. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Linwood Cemetery (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
