She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wattnem and Carole Wattnem. She is survived by: her children, Nicole Markey (Mike) of Independence and Michael Kennedy (Katelin) of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Markey, Kali Markey and Brooks Kennedy; and her siblings, Robert Wattnem (Nadia), Deb Milke (Pat) and Barb Klimesh (Dan).
To celebrate her love for animals and courageous spirit, memorials may be directed to the ARL of Iowa or the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. The family kindly requests that no flowers be sent to the residence.
