He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Mae Slaton (Crutchleo) and Vernon Earl Slaton. He is survived by: his wife Chris; his children, Libby Taylor (Jared Taylor) and CJ Slaton of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Terrell, Catalina, Myles and Harper; and his siblings, Carol Crooks of Anamosa, Deb, Jim Baker of Cedar Rapids and Vern Slaton Jr. of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
