He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gottlieb and Susan Schaap Gottlieb; his wife Linda Anderson Gottlieb; his children, Sarah and Nathan; and his brother David Cohen.
He is survived by: his daughter Chloë Allgood; his grandchildren, Doak Allgood, Piers Rodd and Lucia Allgood; his sons-in-law, Alan Allgood and Peter Rodd; and his sisters, Liz Rechkemmer, Linda Cohen, Judy Cohen and Barb Nevins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Action for Youth of Johnson County, Iowa.
